1. What is the Support at Home (SAH) Programme?
The Support at Home (SAH) Programme is the new Australian government initiative replacing Home Care Packages. It provides personalised care and support services to help older Australians and people with disability live independently at home. The programme focuses on person-centred care, flexibility, and choice.
2. What services do you provide?
We offer a comprehensive range of services including Care Partner support (case management), personal care (showering, dressing, grooming), transport & appointments, allied health services (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology), social & community participation, and domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry, meal preparation).
3. What is your management fee?
We charge a 10% flat management fee, which is deducted from your quarterly budget. This fee covers all care management activities including planning, coordination, documentation, and ongoing support. There are no hidden costs.
4. How do I get started with Vitalcare Support?
To get started, simply give us a call on 1300 596 418. Our team will guide you through the process, understand your care needs, and help you access the support you need. We can also assist with the application process for government funding.
5. Are you a government-registered provider?
Yes, Vitalcare Support is a fully compliant, government-registered provider with extensive experience across aged care and disability services. We adhere to all Australian aged care standards and the Support at Home model.
6. Do you offer multilingual support?
Yes! Our team can speak to you in your language and understand your specific cultural needs. We offer multicultural services that respect language, culture, and family values, with strong presence in CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) communities.
7. What is the role of a Care Partner?
Your Care Partner (Case Manager) is your dedicated main contact who coordinates all your services. They help understand your care needs and goals, plan and manage your care budget, match you with trusted support workers, and adjust services as your needs change. There is no extra cost for case management - it's included in our 10% management fee.
8. What is your cancellation policy?
Notice must be received no less than 48 hours before the scheduled service. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice, you may be required to pay fees or charges under your Service Agreement and/or your full contribution amount. We may also claim any government funding for the service.
9. What happens if I exhaust my government funding?
If you have exhausted your government funding, including any Home Care Package unspent funds retained for use under Support at Home, you may access additional services which will be paid by you from your own funds.
10. Do you provide culturally sensitive care?
Absolutely. We understand CALD communities and provide services that respect language, culture, and family values. Our person-centred approach ensures every service is tailored to suit your lifestyle, preferences, and cultural background.
